Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, on Friday, said that Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has assured to give top-most priority in solving the issues of the youth besides extending all possible help to them during a meeting for seeking greater role for youth in the socio-economic growth of the state by channelizing their unbounded energy.
In a press communiqué issued here today, PYDB Chairman Mr. Bindra said that the state government has already initiated a major recruitment drive of one lakh government jobs and called upon the youths to take maximum benefit of the drive, which is being carried out purely on merit basis in the state. He also extended gratitude towards the Chief Minister for giving special emphasis on youth while formulating welfare policies for the state.
Bindra also urged the Chief Minister to give special honor to those youth clubs which are working tirelessly in the rural areas. He said that youth clubs have exhibited their capability in carrying out intensive awareness campaigns during the second wave of the COVID-19 about its appropriate behavior, importance of vaccines and testing among the rural folks. The Chairman said youth have the power to change the world and they are an asset to any state, adding that those countries have demonstrated in the world where their young people have played a constructive role in the development of the society.
