Chandigarh, 4 September
“The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has termed the political rallies being held by Sukhbir Singh Badal as an attempt to undermine the farmers’ agitation, which clearly proves that the Badal family and the Akali Dal were conspiring against the farmers at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi” these views were expressed by Kultar Singh Sandhwan MLA and President (Kisan Wing) Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab. Sandhwan said that the President of SAD Sukhbir Singh Badal should desist from defaming Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Aam Aadmi Party as they were reaping what they had sown.
In a statement issued from the party office on Saturday, Kultar Singh Sandhwan clarified that Sukhbir Singh Badal was talking about the deteriorating atmosphere in Punjab at the behest of his boss Prime Minister Narendra Modi so that President’s rule could be imposed in Punjab because the farmers and common people of Punjab were questioning Sukhbir Badal about backstabbing farmers’ by supporting the implementation of contentious farm laws as well as organized loot of Punjab during their 10 years, but Sukhbir Singh Badal, as per his habit of lying, is not shying away from issuing false statements that Aam Aadmi Party workers and not farmers are opposing the Akali Dal Badal’s political rallies.
Sandhwan said that it was during the rule of the Badal family when desecration of Guru Granth Sahib took place and shots were fired at Sikhs seeking justice at Behbal Kalan, massacring two Sikh youths. People of Punjab have not forgotten the unbridled rule of the mafia of all sorts during the SAD-BJP regime. Above all, the Badal family further infuriated the people of Punjab by signing the Agriculture Ordinances. Further, Sukhbir Badal added fuel to the fire by issuing warnings and calling the protesting farmers ‘naughty elements’. He said that Sukhbir Singh Badal should stop calling the farmers mischievous elements rather should answer the questions being asked by the farmers as the Badal family has always called itself a protector of the farmers and the Panth.
Sandhwan said that the truth was that SAD-BJP and Congress including BJP were equally responsible for controversial agriculture laws because it was the Congress party government that had framed these black laws and were enforced against the farmers, laborers and the general by the BJP-SAD government.
