A delegation of the Joint Association of Colleges (JAC) met with S. Pargat Singh, Minister of Punjab school education, Higher Education, Sports, and NRI Affairs & Sh. Anirudh Tewari, Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab.
Manjit Singh, Patron, JAC; Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, JAC; Dr. Anshu Kataria, Co-Chairman, JAC & S. Sukhmander Singh Chatha Secretary-General, JAC were part of the delegation.
Dr. Kataria while giving information said that the delegation highlighted the problems being faced by 1650 unaided colleges of Punjab. The delegation also urged the minister & chief secretary to resolve the over pending issue of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) pertaining to 1539 crore outstanding for 3 years i.e. 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, he said.
